ANNAPOLIS, Maryland (1/20/10) – Joanna Conti announced today that she raised $56,752 in three months in her race to become the next County Executive of Anne Arundel County. This amount is nearly 35 times the amount raised by her Republican opponent, John Leopold, during all of 2009.
“I’m very pleased that, despite the tough economy, so many people and businesses stepped forward to support my campaign. They believe my business experience and vision will enable me to help solve the crucial problems the county is facing today,” says Conti.
Joanna Conti is a Democratic businesswoman who formed an Exploratory Committee on October 6, 2009, to run for Anne Arundel County Executive. Conti has run businesses in five different industries, including a nonprofit she founded which has helped tens of thousands of orphans in eight countries in Africa and Asia.
